Info
  • This fabric contains Ready-AbZORB, a technology we pioneered. It eliminates the need to pre-wash and dry to activate the super absorbency. It also reduces 60% to 80% of shrinkage.

  • Our products are 100% free of PFOS, PFOA, lead, dioxins, heavy metals, BPA, and all kinds of phthalates, including DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, and DnOP. Read Blog Article

  • It can be used on its own, not as an interlining so it's ideal for reducing cost, increasing product performance and supporting the environment

  • This fabric absorbs 10 times its weight in less than 2 seconds. It also soaks up 20 times faster than bamboo, cotton, or hemp knits. This fabric is perfect for keeping sweat under control.

  • This fabric is durable and reversible. The thirsty Zorb 3D fibers live in between the 100% absorbent organic cotton layers.

  • Unique, three-dimensional engineered dimple pattern provides greater retention, superior hold, faster distribution of moisture and less leaking under compression

  • CPSIA certified, meeting stringent standards by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission on lead and phthalates and flammability.

  • All Zorb fabrics are super absorbent by virtue of their knitting construction; they are not made with SAP (super absorbent polymers), so their super absorbency lasts for the lifetime of the fabric.

Ideal On Its Own

This fabric can be used on its own. While you can interline it, you don’t need to, which can cut down on costs and increase the product’s performance while being environmentally friendly. Additionally, this fabric reduces shrinkage, so you get more for less.

Ever-Increasing Absorbency

The more Zorb fabric you use, the more absorbent it is. There’s no limit to how many layers you can use. Because two layers of Zorb replace 9 layers of flannel, 7 layers of french terry, and 6 layers of organic fleece, you can dress more comfortably while staying warm and dry.

USA Exacting Requirements

This fabric is engineered to meet exacting USA requirements; it’s the highest quality-assured organic fabric on the market, which means peace of mind for everyone. Plus, Zorb doesn’t contain super absorbent polymers, so their super absorbency lasts as long as the fabric does.

Maximum Benefits, Minimal Shrinkage

Our pioneered Ready-AbZORB technology ensures this organic fabric has maximum absorbency with minimal shrinkage.

This fabric is perfect for single-layer pre-folds, soakers, changing pads, fitted diapers, blankets, bibs, burp cloths, play mats, medical products, and incontinence products. It can be used for so many different purposes.

No matter what your product is, Zorb can help you design it.

Important Notice about Natural Fiber Fabrics:
The attributes of natural fiber fabrics such as bamboo, cotton, and organic cotton can be influenced by various factors including the specific type of fiber used, the plant or tree from which it was harvested, and the unique properties of the soil. Despite the weight of the fabric remaining constant, its tactile sensation and perceived thinness can vary. This is largely dependent on the fullness of the yarn, which is dictated by the inherent characteristics of the fiber.

Fabric Weight: 550 GSM / 16.2 ounces per square yard

Fabric Width: 57" - 60" wide / 144 cm - 152 cm wide

Fabric Thickness: 0.085 inch +/- 10%

Approx. Shrinkage (Length): 5% - 6%
Approx. Shrinkage (Width): 5% - 6%

Important Note about Shrinkage
All natural fiber knits will shrink further. Percent shrinkage has been tested in a controlled lab. It may vary under different wash/dry conditions and from batch to batch. It is recommended to test shrinkage on a small piece first and then pre-wash whole yardage at the setting that your finished stitched item will be washed.

UPF Rating: 50+
☀️ Read about UV Protection in Fabrics - Your Total UPF Rating Guide

Important Note about UPF Ratings:
Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates how much UV radiation (both UVB and UVA) a fabric allows to reach your skin. For example, a UPF 50 fabric blocks 98 % of the sun’s rays and allows 2% (1/50th) to penetrate, thus reducing your exposure risk significantly. A UPF 30 fabric blocks 97% of UV rays and allows roughly 3% of UV transmission. UPF 15 indicates that the fabric blocks roughly 93% of UV rays and allows about 7% of available UV radiation to pass through.

UPF 10 to 30 = Fair Protection
UPF 30 to 50 = Good Protection
UPS 50+ = Excellent Protection

Important Note about Absorbency in 3D & 4D Zorb fabrics:
These fabrics are designed to be absorbent and made without the use of any chemicals during manufacturing. Our Ready-AbZorb process helps eliminate the need for pre-washing for absorption and also reduces the shrinkage. However the fabrics are made in large batch sizes on industrial machines and sometimes the fabric may not absorb as desired from when you receive it, or sometimes after cutting and sewing. In such cases, we recommend running the fabric through a hot wash and medium dry cycle; this will help remove any handling residues and activate the super absorbent fibers that might have been affected by handling.
